Hi everyone — I built K9Alert as a solo, non-technical developer after realizing how often delivery drivers, mail carriers, and utility workers deal with aggressive dogs on their routes, often with little or no advance warning. Most dog-safety tools out there are built for owners or neighbors, not for workers approaching properties they've never been to. The core idea: crowdsourced GPS reports that alert you as you approach a location where a dog concern was reported, with reports kept current by the community. It was a learning process building this from scratch without a coding background, but real-world testing (including offline scenarios) shaped a lot of the design.
