Basically: Logitech's Options+ doesn't exist on Linux, and my MX Master 4 and the new MX Keypad were half-dead without it so I built JuhRadial MX: a Rust daemon that speaks HID++ to the devices, plus a Qt settings app. What it does today: - The MX Master 4's haptic motor: pulses on menu hover, app switch, monitor crossing, DPI change, each with its own pattern - A radial action menu on the gesture button (KDE, GNOME, Hyprland, sway, COSMIC, niri, X11) - The MX Keypad's nine LCD keys: per-app pages, folders, two-state keys, GIFs on keys. The keypad protocol is in a separate MIT/Apache crate if you want to drive it from your own code - Button remapping, SmartShift, per-app profiles, Easy-Switch that moves the keyboard with the mouse, macros Things that were fun to figure out: each compositor needs a different trick just to learn where the cursor is (a KWin script, Hyprland IPC, a GNOME Shell helper, layer-shell on niri), and the keypad takes a JPEG per key over 4 KB HID reports. It's a beta, GPL-3.0, and I'd love reports from GNOME, niri and Hyprland users, and from anyone with other Logitech devices + other brands. It should work with other types of devices also if you enable the Generic mouse mode toggle.
