Hi everyone, I'm Shehan, and I built Journeva alone this year. Journeva is a reading app. Every story exists at four levels, A1, A2, B1 and B2, with the same plot, characters and facts at each one, richer language each step. You read a story at A1, then read it again at A2, and the language grows around something you already understand. The stories are about things you'd read in your own language anyway: this month's good news, life lessons and folk tales, health habits, lines from great books, simple recipes. Every word in every story is in the glossary. That's enforced by an automated check before a story can ship. Any story can be read aloud with the words highlighted as they're spoken, and the words you save come back later for a short practice session with the sentence you found them in. There's no account and no tracking. Progress stays on your device. The App Store privacy label says "Data Not Collected", and the website has no scripts at all. It's free to start: ten stories at every level, and every story at A1. Premium is €2.99 a month or €24.99 a year, with Family Sharing. Every story is also free to read at A1 on the website, so you can see what the writing is like before installing anything. New stories arrive every week, inside the app, no update needed.
