Five days in: 69 upvotes, 6 real conversations, and a thank you

by

It's been five days since we launched Jootle on Product Hunt, and I wanted to take a minute to say something I have been meaning to say all week.

Thank you.

You showed up. You upvoted. You commented. You asked real questions. You pointed at edges I had not noticed. You introduced me to people I would not have met any other way. Some of the most useful product feedback I have received since I started building this came from this forum in the last few days.

A few specific things that landed for me:

  • Rivva's question about how an "always-on" AI handles data partitioning between work context and personal/household context. That is exactly the right question, and it is the cleanest articulation I have heard of a tension we are actively designing around. It went straight into my product notes.

  • Chris Messina (@chrismessina) showing up and asking how Jootle compares with a hosted OpenClaw instance. The fact that someone with that depth of category knowledge bothered to ask the comparison question at all is the kind of signal a solo founder remembers.

  • Watching the "notable voters" list fill in with people who are themselves building real things (Scade.pro, Raycast, others). The launch reaching working builders, not just casual upvoters, mattered more than the rank number.

I will keep showing up here. I just published a new blog post this morning reacting to an outside AI's read of Jootle from public information alone. The "build in public" energy of this place is part of why I am writing things like that openly rather than guarding the story.

Post is at https://blog.jootle.com/posts/i-asked-chatgpt-what-it-thinks-of-jootle/ if you want to read it. Honest critiques welcome here.

Genuinely appreciative. More to share soon.

Respect for staying in the thread after launch .A lot of founders disappear after PH day 1 but the real value usually shows up in days 3–10.

@elliot_grant1 Honestly I didn't even know about PH until about two weeks ago, I did next to no prep to list my launch, and now I am checking PH multiple times a day and really enjoying the community here.

One thing I'd watch : feedback from notable voters can skew toward powers users .Are you also capturing signals from quieter users or first time builders?

Shane Grant

@eric_donovan I'm absolutely trying to give everyone who interacts with my product or my profile/posts some time to see what they are working on, and following people who I feel will provide interesting views throughout PH, whether related to my product or not. To me I am treating everyone the same here, I'm not even sure I understand who are notable users vs who's a newer user like myself just yet.

Congratulations on the launch! Having six real conversations is worth way more than 69 upvotes in the long run. Those early users who are willing to talk to you are your most valuable asset right now. I hope Jootle continues to gain momentum!
