Solo dev, health data nerd, here to learn how launching actually works
Hey everyone, I'm Matteo. solo developer, currently all-in on Apex Trace: a privacy-first dashboard that turns your Fitbit data (via the Google Health API) into dark, animated charts. No backend, everything stays on your phone, pay once and that's it.
Building it taught me some humility: writing the app was the easy half. Google's security assessment for health data scopes, store listings, screenshots, privacy policy wording... the "everything else" turned out to be its own full-time job.
The app is going to be live in the stores soon, but I haven't launched it here yet. So I'm hanging around first: watching what works in other people's launches, leaving comments, asking the occasional dumb question.
Curious about the other builders here, especially in health/fitness: what was the hardest non-code part of shipping for you?
