Hi Product Hunt, I’m Ayan, founder of Unimind.

by

I started building this after working on TruthLayer, a consumer fact-checking system for WhatsApp forwards, links, and social content. While testing it, I realised that misinformation and fraud in India are not only content problems. A lot of harm happens inside private conversations: scam calls, OTP manipulation, fake customer care, digital arrest threats, remote-access scams, and financial coercion.

Unimind is my attempt to build an AI trust and safety infrastructure for this problem.

The current direction includes TruthLayer for fact-checking text, links, and social content, and Arka, an AI call guard that detects fraud intent and coercion inside unknown calls.

This is early. The goal of this launch is to open the work, find serious technical collaborators, speak with fraud/risk operators, and validate whether the strongest path is B2C, B2B, or a hybrid.

I’d love feedback from people working in AI, fraud, fintech, cybersecurity, KYC, telecom, or trust and safety.

Hi, Ayan. It is not a easy work. Tell me, what is your metric of fact-checking? I am a developer and I am developing a product which extract info from conversation, but I am struggled with the definition of fact in conversation.

Ayan Aggarwal

Thanks for the thoughtful question, Yaoshen.

In simple terms, I think of it like this:

  • First, pull out the clear claim someone is making.

  • Then, check if the internet has strong, credible sources that agree or disagree.

  • Finally, show the user a simple verdict with links, not just a “yes/no” from the model.

In conversations, the tricky part is that the “fact” is mixed with emotions and pressure (fear, urgency, threats). That’s where I see TruthLayer handling the factual side, and Arka handling the “is this person trying to trick or coerce you?” side.

Would love to jam more on how you’re defining “facts in conversation” for your product too.

Impressive! Tackling misinformation and fraud inside private conversations is a massive challenge...your work with TruthLayer and Arka looks promising. If you're up for it, I'm launching on PH soon...would appreciate a follow (See PRODUCT HUNT LAUNCH Link in my profile). I'm building The Sponge, an AI‑powered flashcard app that turns any webpage into study material.

@rianbrob Totally agree, private conversations are where a lot of real damage happens and most tools don’t see it. I’m trying to see how far AI can go in catching intent and coercion before money actually moves.

The Sponge sounds cool. Turning any webpage into study material is a super useful workflow. Just checked out your profile and followed your launch. Wishing you a strong Product Hunt launch!
