Jari

Builder from Belgium obsessed with reducing friction

by

Hi everyone,

I'm Jari, based in Belgium.

I've spent years around communities, marketplaces and real-world service businesses, which made me fascinated by one recurring theme:

The gap between how people think and how software expects them to behave.

Most systems ask users to adapt to the software.

I've always been more interested in the opposite approach: how software can adapt to people.

That's currently what I'm spending most of my time exploring.

Looking forward to learning from other founders, builders and product people here.

Happy to connect.

Wow, love the focus on making software adapt to people rather than the other way around. Frictionless experiences are key, and it’s inspiring to see you tackling that. I’m building The Sponge, an AI‑powered flashcard app that turns any webpage into study material, and we share that same goal of reducing the effort needed to learn. If you’re up for it, I’m launching on PH soon — would appreciate a follow (see PRODUCT HUNT LAUNCH link in my profile).

Hi Jari. Liked how you put it, software adapting to people instead of the other way around. Most products quietly expect the user to meet them halfway, and the ones that actually flip that around feel different to use, even if you can't say exactly why at first. Looking forward to seeing what you build.
