10 years of building and Why I'm going all in on AI Agent Monetization

by•

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I'm Aditya.

Started my career as a consultant. Suits, CXO calls, global clients. Good money, zero soul. Three years of that and I knew it wasn't it.

So I quit and built RevMeUp from scratch. A social review platform. Spent 2 years getting it to 120K+ users, 50 person team, 1000+ reviews a day. Learned everything the hard way. Unit economics, hiring, product, distribution. All of it.

Then it ended. Joined Monster as a PM. Then Guidepoint where I got to work on some genuinely exciting AI stuff. Built ByteMe on the side because I had FOMO and honestly just needed to keep building something.

Then I hit a wall. Took a 7 month break. Not a sabbatical, a real stop. Focused on health, cleared my head and asked myself one honest question: what problem do I actually want to spend the next decade on?

Prakash had the answer. He came across an article about Salesforce struggling to price their own AI agents and thought if they can't crack this, what chance does a small startup have?

I didn't need much convincing. I'd felt this pain myself while exploring and never really knowing your unit economics until it's almost too late. We packed our bags, went to Singapore for Antler SG19, made some incredible friends, secured funding and came back with a clear mission.

Now we're launching Paygent : Monetization and Billing Infrastructure built specifically for AI agent companies. So founders stop guessing and actually know what it costs to serve every customer in real time.

10 years, two startups, one long break and a lot of lessons later, this is the one I'm betting everything on.

What's the moment that made you go all in on your current idea? Would love to hear 👇
