A voice-first social app, like Clubhouse. But one-on-one, and it speaks from 6PM to midnight every evening - the Golden hour. Hum lets you connect with with people who share your interests. No photos, no swiping, no text. Every evening. 6PM - 12 AM -> Golden Hours The app doesn't allow calls outside Golden Hours. After every call you both decide privately to keep each other, else you depart once the call disconnect. If connected, you have earned a voice who shares your interest to connect later.

Hi Product Hunt, I’m Smruthi, and I built Hum because voice social apps feel like performing for everyone and talking to no one. How Hum works: - When you join join a painted persona instead of a photo, plus up to 4 interests. - Hum opens every evening, 6 PM to midnight your time, which we call the GOLDEN HOUR. Outside that window it closes calls by design. - Tap once and you’re in a live voice call with a stranger who shares a topic. - If not found, leave a message and Hum drops that to the right ones for you. - Once you make connections, you can make calls during Golden Hours OR share voice messages with your connections any time. Hum is built for India first, free, and 18+. I’d love feedback on two things: does the Golden Hour limit feel like a feature or a barrier, and would you say yes at minute 7?

We built Hum around a simple question: what if social technology helped us have real conversations instead of giving us another feed to scroll?

Hum is a voice-only social app for meeting someone new through conversation. No photos, bios to perfect, follower counts, text chat, or endless browsing. You choose your interests, enter during Golden Hour, and Hum introduces you anonymously to one person who shares something with you.

After seven minutes, both of you privately decide whether you’d like to stay connected. A connection forms only when the feeling is mutual.

We deliberately made Hum available for only a few hours each evening. The constraint is the feature: everyone arrives around the same time, conversations feel intentional, and when Hum closes, it gives your time back.

Hum is free and built for adults aged 18+. We’re creating a space for genuine, respectful, and responsible conversations—and we ask everyone who joins to help keep it that way.

This is our first Product Hunt launch, and we’d genuinely value your feedback—especially on how the experience feels, what would make you return, and whether voice can help the internet feel a little more human again.
