Hey Product Hunt 👋

I'm Abhishek, and I run Brand Bakery, a small studio in India. Most days I have seven or eight Claude Code threads going at once, and I kept stepping away and coming back to find one of them had been waiting on me for ages. A review, an approval, a quick yes or no.

So we built Heads-up. When Claude Code or Codex finishes or needs you, your Mac says it out loud: "Hello. I need your review." You hear it from the kitchen.

A few things that mattered to us:

• It stays quiet when you're on a call, in a Focus mode, away from home or in quiet hours, and while you type if you switch that on.

• It's gentle on your ears. It never turns speakers up past 90%, keeps headphones at 50% or lower, and puts your volume back after.

• 20 alerts in 7 voices (American, British, Australian and Indian) work with no key and no account.

• Add your own ElevenLabs or Sarvam key and it says which project is calling and exactly what Claude needs, in its own words.

• Everything runs on your Mac. No telemetry, and keys stay in the macOS Keychain.

It's free and open source. Install with one line: `npx headsup-mcp install`

It's Mac only for now. Voices made with ElevenLabs, Indian voices powered by Sarvam.

What would you want your Mac to say when your agent needs you?
