Building Hani Video Editor as a truly free Android editing experience

Hi everyone 👋

I’m Hanan Arshad, the creator and developer of Hani Video Editor.

I started building Hani because I wanted an Android video editor that people could actually use without being constantly pushed toward ads, subscriptions, coins, paywalls or watermarked exports.

The goal with Hani is simple: make mobile video editing clean, practical and accessible while keeping the core editing experience free.

Hani Video Editor is launching on Product Hunt soon, and I’d really value feedback from this community before launch.

What matters most to you in a mobile video editor? Is it speed, timeline controls, text tools, audio editing, transitions, export quality, or something else?

I’m especially interested in hearing what usually frustrates you about mobile editing apps and what you would want Hani to do better.
