Hey Product Hunt 👋
I'm Sarath, and I built Glyph.
What makes Glyph different:
🧱 Native core: a real PTY running your own shell (bash/zsh). All terminal state lives in a Rust grid engine that streams frames to a WebGL2 renderer.
🔲 Panes & tabs: put your dev server, tests and logs side by side in one window.
🗂️ Workspaces: save pane layouts, working folders and startup commands, and reopen everything in one click. Turn on Preserve Panes and your ssh / docker exec sessions come back when Glyph starts, and can restart automatically if the network drops.
🎨 Make it yours: 10 hand-crafted themes, dot-matrix backgrounds, cursor styles, fonts, and fully remappable shortcuts.
🍎 New in v0.7: Glyph now runs on macOS (one universal build for Apple Silicon and Intel), alongside Linux (.deb, .rpm, AppImage).
It's free and MIT-licensed. Windows support is on the roadmap.
I'd love your honest feedback. What would make you switch your daily terminal to Glyph? I'll be here all day answering questions. 🙏
