Weekend Project That Outlived Everything I Built on Purpose

by•

I made something in two days. No plan, no strategy, no thought about whether anyone would use it.

It is still running four years later. Still getting messages from people who use it every week. Still the thing that brings people to my other work.

Meanwhile the projects I planned carefully, the ones I built with a business model and a roadmap, are mostly gone.

I have given up on predicting which of my things will matter. The only thing I know for sure is that making things is the only way to find out. You cannot plan your way to the one that lands. You can only keep making them.

What is the smallest thing you made that outlived something you built on purpose?
