One week before launch and I’m suddenly scared

by

I've been building my SaaS for the last 3 months. Biggest thing I've ever worked on. Lost about 4kg, barely slept, basically lived inside this thing.

The whole time I was building, I was confident. Then QA week started and something flipped. Now I keep thinking, what if nobody signs up? What if I launch and it's just silence?

I don't know why the doubt showed up now of all times, right at the end.

Anyone else go through this before their first real launch? Did it pass once you shipped, or is this just part of it?

I get you man, it's the same for me. I haven't launched yet so I'm in the same shoes. But what I can say is don't worry if nobody signs up, just be analytical about it, find out what your product is lacking and just amend and improve from there. From one solo dev to another, you got this. :)

This is something most founders go through before launch, and it's normal. When you launch, don't continue to stress yourself out, but find what's working and what's not. From there, improve and grow. Don't give up. There's always going to be a target audience out there, because you were the target audience at one point.

Man, totally feel you. I think it's completely normal. I catch myself in the exact same mood right before launching. While you're building, you basically live in your own head with all these best-case expectations. Launching is scary because it's the moment you have to check if reality agrees with you, and the thought that it might not... well, it hurts.
Honestly, that's why I realized the whole "ship fast and cheap" thing isn't even about money or dev time, it's also about how to save your own mental health. The longer you build in a bubble, the harder that reality check hits :)
