Could DeepSeek's Search & Fetch APIs help with my competitor finder?

I came across DeepSeek's new Search & Fetch APIs and thought they might be useful for something I'm building.

I'm working on a tool to find competitors and discover discussions about similar products on Reddit. Right now, I'm exploring ways to make that research less manual.

The APIs seem promising, but I'm wondering how well they'd work for this use case.

Has anyone tried them in a real project? Would they cover most of what I need or would I still need to build a separate crawler.
