A quick reply on my phone turns into checking three other apps
by•
🤷🏻‍♀️Someone messages me on WhatsApp: “What did we agree on last time?”
I open my email to find the conversation. Or they ask about meeting next week, and I need to check my calendar.
Sometimes I leave the reply for when I’m back at my desk—and then forget to follow up.
Curious how others handle this. Have you found a workflow that works well on your phone?

I like this idea especially the part about turning thoe small follow ups into something you dont have to remember manually this could save a lot of time on busy days

@shivam_kushwaha16 Thanks, Shivam! How do you currently keep track of messages you need to follow up on—do you set reminders, mark them unread, or something else?
@danielwayne I usually just keep them unread until I can deal with them but I have definitely missed a few that way

@shivam_kushwaha16 I do that sometimes too, but having too many unread messages makes me anxious. What usually stops you from replying right away—is it something you need to check first, or does the message just not feel urgent?
I often forget to reply when I tell myself I will do it later at my desk. Does this solve that specific delay?

@devinstone Hi Devin, that’s the problem I’m exploring—still figuring out what would actually help. What usually stops you from replying right away?
