When we first started as founders, we were full of passion and ideas but quickly learned how difficult it truly is to build a startup. We joined an accelerator program with high hopes, thinking we would find the support and resources we needed to turn our vision into reality. However, what we quickly discovered was that the journey wasn’t as smooth as we imagined. There were endless rounds of pitching, and most of the time, we left meetings with little more than “thanks, but no thanks.” The lack of funding made it almost impossible to create a team or build in a short period of time without running out of money. Then, there were the skills and resources we lacked. We were driven by ideas, but lacked the technical expertise, marketing knowledge, and business skills to execute them effectively. As cofounders, we found ourselves juggling tasks far beyond our capabilities.
