I honestly believe that the way we communicate digitally can be upgraded, and framejs is one of my many attempts to improve this. We should be sharing simulations, rich visual data, and interactive models, directly. Sharing is connected with storage, where the thing you share needs to be as self-contained as possible, since in the distant future you might need to look at this again, framejs is designed to work decades after this time point. Experiment! You can create pretty amazing visualizations, focus on your domain of interest, you will be pleasantly surprised.
Tools like Observable and Streamlit put your interactive code on a server that has to stay up. framejs.io encodes the whole app, with javascript, CSS, state directly into the URL itself. Prompt AI to build one, paste the link anywhere, and it just runs. No deploy, no host, and share anywhere, it always looks good. Open source and easily incorporated into your own apps, or use standalone.
