Focuser - Was your life a success today? Answer it, don't guess

by
Focuser asks the question most productivity apps don't: was your life a success today? This week? This month? A day planning dashboard that spans from this hour to this year, organized around Focuses: the life areas you define. Tag your work to Focuses and the dashboard shows where your effort is actually going in real time. Focus Metrics translates that into satisfaction and balance scores. Claude-powered insights follow shortly. Built solo over 18 months.

Hey Product Hunt. I'm Hunter, solo developer in Austin. I started building Focuser almost two years ago after getting let go from a corporate role and realizing my actual productivity problem wasn't finishing tasks; it was whether I was spending time on the things I said mattered to me. Most apps ask "did you finish your tasks?" Focuser asks "did how you spent your time serve the areas of your life you say matter most?" You define Focuses (Career, Health, Family, whatever you choose), tag items to them, and the system tracks effort distribution over time. Ran a Kickstarter for runway that closed yesterday without funding. The app launched regardless; that was always the plan. Web is live now at lifefocuser.com. iOS and Android builds are production-ready and hitting the App Store and Google Play within the next day or two. Happy to answer anything about the system, the stack (Rails 7, React Native), or the post-campaign road ahead.
