Why coaching often needs support between sessions
A good coaching session can create clarity, momentum, and a genuine sense of possibility.
But what happens afterward?
For many people, the difficult part is not setting the goal. It is following through when the week becomes busy, energy dips, and the task starts to feel inconvenient.
A few ideas we have been exploring:
Turn broad goals into one small, observable next action
Encourage action within the first 24 hours
Make progress visible without turning it into pressure
Use real human check-ins instead of relying only on notifications
Create private spaces where small groups can support each other
That is the thinking behind Focido: a social accountability app where people can create tasks, connect with real motivators, and use clubs for shared challenges.
We do not think an app can create motivation on demand. But we do believe it can make follow-through feel less lonely.
Focido is not therapy. It is a practical tool for goals, habits, and human accountability.
We would love thoughtful feedback from coaches, community builders, and anyone who has tried to stick with a goal after the initial excitement wore off:
What helps you actually follow through?
