On most good mornings there is someone on the beach with a long lens, and the footage they shoot almost never reaches the surfer in it. FilmedSurf closes that loop: surfers check in when they paddle out, and clips shot at that spot during that window show up for them. We match by place and time only — no face recognition — and filmers set their own price and keep 75% of each sale.
We started in Japan, so surf forecasts are Japan-only for now, but clips and photos work wherever filmers are shooting.
