What if fictional characters had to debate their way through a story?

I've been building FIC FURY around a simple question:

What if fictional characters didn't just exist inside a story, but actually had to debate their way through it?

FIC FURY is a live fictional debate and character roleplay platform where participants step into fictional characters, enter structured scenarios, debate opposing positions, negotiate with other participants, and influence what happens next.

The idea sits somewhere between fictional storytelling, roleplay, debate, and interactive decision-making.

Instead of simply choosing from predetermined options, the participant has to actually argue for what their character believes should happen.

I'm curious what other people think:

If you were playing a fictional character in an experience like this, what would make you want to keep coming back?

Would it be the characters, the debate itself, the ability to influence the story, the social/competitive aspect, or something else?
