How are SaaS founders actually managing runway and funding timing?

by

I’ve been building FFCC, a financial command center for SaaS founders, and one thing keeps standing out: runway is often treated as a static number.

But the real decision is usually:

  • When should fundraising start?

  • How much capital is actually needed?

  • What happens if growth slows or churn increases?

  • How long does the next round protect the business?

I’m building the model around these decisions rather than just reporting metrics.

Curious how other founders handle this today:
Do you manage runway in a spreadsheet, FP&A tool, or mostly through monthly finance reviews?

I’d love to hear what works — and what still feels painful.
