I built FastCompressor because compressing a large folder of files on a Mac shouldn't mean uploading everything to a website or processing files one at a time. I wanted something that could handle thousands of files locally, keep the folder structure intact, and get out of the way while the work happens. So FastCompressor is built around three things: **Bulk. Local. Automatic.** Drop a folder → compress everything → keep working. It also includes target-size compression, video trimming/resizing, quality previews, a floating dropzone, folder watching, and MCP support for AI workflows. I'm launching it on Product Hunt to get feedback on what should be built next.
