How are non-remote teams handling attendance in 2026?
Hey Product Hunt community! đź‘‹
While remote tooling gets most of the spotlight, physical venues, classrooms, co-working spaces, and offices are still stuck using paper registers or $300+ hardware fingerprint scanners just to verify who showed up.
Paper gets faked easily ("buddy punching"), and dedicated hardware units take weeks to configure and maintain.
We built Facelogs (https://facelogs.netlify.app) to see if we could turn any existing smartphone, tablet, or webcam into a touchless facial-recognition attendance kiosk using lightweight web-based computer vision—no hardware installation required.
We’d love to get feedback from makers and team leads:
What does your current check-in/attendance process look like?
What privacy or speed requirements would you expect from a browser-based biometric tool before adopting it for your team?
Would love your honest thoughts and critiques!
