Extra is an open-source framework for building and embedding production-ready AI agents directly into SaaS products. It handles orchestration, tools and MCP servers, authentication, authorization, human approvals, memory, and resumable execution. SaaS teams can connect agents to real product data and actions instead of rebuilding the infrastructure behind them. Extra also includes an embeddable in-product chat widget, making it easy to bring the full agent experience into the product.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I’m Asaf, one of the makers behind Extra. We started building Extra after seeing the same pattern repeatedly: creating an AI agent demo is relatively easy, but turning it into a real SaaS capability is much harder. Once an agent needs access to real product data, permissions, tools, human approvals, memory, resumable execution, and a native in-product experience, every team starts rebuilding the same infrastructure. Extra brings those pieces together in one open-source framework. Teams can build agents around their existing product capabilities and expose them through an embeddable widget inside their SaaS product. We’re still early and looking for SaaS teams willing to use Extra in a real product. We’ll support the complete integration in exchange for direct and honest feedback. We’re also looking for developers who want to contribute. A contribution, technical feedback, or even a GitHub star genuinely helps us at this stage.
