I'm launching Epostrix on Tuesday — here's the problem that made me build it

18 months ago, I got a call from a plant safety manager on a Sunday afternoon. He'd spent his entire weekend manually filling in OSHA 300 logs in Excel. Forty rows. Every field typed by hand. One transposed number or missed checkbox could mean a $15,000 fine.

That call stuck with me. This wasn't an isolated problem — mid-market manufacturers (50–500 employees) are running their entire EHS compliance operation on spreadsheets, sticky notes, and institutional memory. There's enterprise software for the Fortune 500, and nothing in between.

So I built Epostrix.
