Don't Perish - A wilderness survival game for solo and local co-op

by•
Don’t Perish is a wilderness survival game you can play now. Gather resources, craft tools, find food, and keep a campfire burning through the night. Play solo as Edgar or team up with a friend in local split-screen co-op as Mabel. The Kickstarter supports more game artwork, a new website, and marketing, with a larger map and more features planned.

Hi, I’m the creator of Don’t Perish. I wanted to make a small, tense survival game that turns staying by the fire into a shared challenge. The browser demo is playable now, with solo and local split-screen co-op. I’d love feedback on what felt clear or confusing in the survival loop, and what you’d like to see next. The Kickstarter is helping fund additional game art, a refreshed website, and marketing.

Do you plan on making a bigger map?

Yes! A bigger map is definitely part of the plan. I’d love to give players more room to explore and discover as the game grows. I’m still shaping exactly what that expansion looks like, so I’d be glad to hear what you’d most want to find out there.

Can wait to play with my kids.

That’s awesome—I hope you and your kids have a great time surviving together! The demo has local split-screen co-op, so you can play on the same computer. I’d love to hear how your first night goes.

Are you planning a Steam release? Do you have a date yet?

Yes we are planning a Steam release and that is what we will be using some of this money for as there is $100 fee per game.

Will the final game be playable in the browser like the demo is. BTW the demo was fun.

No it will be on STEAM only.

local split screen feels right for a game built around keeping one fire alive

u get to argue about who went for wood while watching the same night get darker

Thanks, I love split screen games (Don't Strave or It takes Two) they just don't make to many anymore.

Here is a screenshot of the STEAM version's title screen and game play.
