Data Watchdog - See what every site can access, and control it per site

by
Data Watchdog shows you exactly what every website tries to access: camera, microphone, location, clipboard, screen sharing, cookies, trackers, and fingerprinting attempts. Use 22 per site controls, or a Permissive, Balanced, or Strict preset. Protections apply before page scripts execute, so nothing sneaks through first. No account, no server, no analytics or telemetry. Bulk edit and import/export make it easy to manage settings across many sites.

Hey Product Hunt! I built Data Watchdog because I wanted a simple way to see what a website is actually doing behind the scenes: camera and mic prompts, location requests, tracking scripts, fingerprinting, before deciding whether to trust it. Most privacy tools either block everything by default or bury the controls in menus you never open. Data Watchdog names the tracker that triggered each request and gives you 22 per site controls you can tune yourself, or just pick a Permissive, Balanced, or Strict preset. It runs entirely in your browser: no account, no server, no analytics or telemetry, and settings apply before page scripts execute. It is very early days for this project, so I would love your feedback on what to build next. Thanks for checking it out!
