Hey Product Hunt 👋 I started Currency Trip after too many “wait, how much is this in my money?” moments abroad — unlocking my phone, hunting for an app, typing prices from a menu or tag, then bouncing between a converter, a tip calculator, and notes for spending. The rate on the app rarely matched what I actually got at the exchange desk or on my card. So I wanted one travel calculator kit: convert many currencies at once, flip two currencies in real time, split tips, log trip spending with local + home amounts, scan a price tag instead of typing, and apply my own real rates per screen. On Android, you can even open conversion or price scan from the lock screen. The process evolved a lot. V1 was “just a nice converter.” Then real trips made it clear — speed at the counter matters more than fancy charts.
