Hi Product Hunt! 👋 I'm M. I've worked in advertising for 20 years, making campaigns for car giants and banks. I also built a few startups. But today I just want to share a tiny app I made because I was annoyed. The idea for Currencie hit me during a recent family trip to China. When you are navigating foreign cities, roaming data is often expensive, restricted, or completely drops out right when you are trying to haggle at a market. Add the hidden 2.5% markup that credit cards quietly tack onto every purchase, and managing a travel budget becomes a guessing game. I wanted a tool that solved this instantly, with zero friction. So, I built one. 👉 Works 100% offline. Open it once, save it to your home screen. Boom. It works in the middle of nowhere. 👉 The "Reality" Button. One tap adds the 2.5% card fee so you see the real price you actually pay. 👉 Looks pretty. I do stock photography and music on the side, so I can't let my app look ugly. Dark mode is automatic.
