Are you still using plan mode?
I usually break out of my harness with https://www.cueloop.dev/ for planning work.
I tend to stick to auto-modes and hand the planning over to a new tab, where I can comment and pass my intent back to the agent.
This way it also keeps a register of my plans that I can build on later.
