Cue - Daily word puzzle where one word connects three tiles

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Alex, and I built Cue because I was obsessed with NYT Connections but wanted something with a twist. What inspired me: I loved the "aha!" moment of finding connections between words, but I wanted to add another layer - making you actively think of the connecting word, not just group things together. Sometimes you select tiles, sometimes you type the answer. It keeps your brain engaged in different ways. The problem I was solving: Most word games are either too simple (guess a 5-letter word) or too complex (full crosswords). I wanted something in between - quick enough for a coffee break, challenging enough to feel rewarding. How it evolved: I started with just tile selection, but playtesters got bored. Adding the word-input rounds changed everything - suddenly people were really thinking. The share feature (with color-coded emoji grids like Connections) was a late addition, but it's become everyone's favorite part. What I learned: The hardest part wasn't the code - it was creating 100+ quality puzzles that are clever without being frustrating. I'm still tweaking the difficulty balance based on player feedback.
