Cooldock adds a beautiful second Dock to your Mac with live widgets for music, todos, calendar events, weather, search, system stats, quick actions, and more.
Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built CoolDock because I wanted the Mac Dock to be more useful.
The original Dock is great for launching apps, but it doesn’t show much of what I need throughout the day — todos, calendar events, music, weather, system stats, files, screenshots, quick actions, search, and business metrics.
So I built CoolDock: a smart second Dock for macOS with live widgets.
CoolDock sits beside your original Mac Dock and gives you a beautiful, customizable place for apps, widgets, tools, and daily context.
You can add widgets for:
• Music, todos, reminders, and calendar events
• Weather, clocks, timers, and progress
• CPU, RAM, battery, storage, and network stats
• Search, screenshots, files, folders, and bookmarks
• Quick toggles and Mac actions
• GitHub, Shopify, Supabase, Linear, revenue, analytics, and more
A few things I focused on:
• A second Dock, not a Dock replacement
• Live widgets instead of static shortcuts
• Fast access to useful everyday tools
• Customizable widget sizes and layout
• A clean glass-style macOS design
• One-time purchase, no subscription
CoolDock is built for Mac users who want more from their desktop — developers, designers, founders, makers, students, and productivity nerds.
I’d love your feedback, widget ideas, and feature requests.
Thanks for checking out CoolDock ❤️

does it let you swap between the default dock and cooldock or does it just sit there permanently taking up screen space

The translucent treatment on the widget cards looks really considered, especially how the music controls sit just above the Dock separator without feeling crowded. Nice execution.

Finally a dock widget that doesn't feel cluttered, the music controls on it are genuinely useful.

been using it for a few days and the live music widget actually feels snappy, which surprised me since dock apps usually feel clunky. weather and todos in the same strip is a nice touch
