Anyone here selling on WhatsApp? Built an AI agent for it, want honest feedback
Hey everyone,
I've been in software for about 20 years, and for the last few I've been on the e-commerce side in Saudi Arabia. One thing I noticed early: people here don't really use the checkout page. They open WhatsApp and message the store. "Is this available?", "How much is delivery to Jeddah?", "Where's my order?" Same questions, all day, and most small stores answer every one by hand.
So I started building ConvCart. It's an AI agent that sits on the store's WhatsApp and replies to customers in Arabic or English, using the store's own catalog and FAQ. The part I'm most excited about is that it can take the order right in the chat. It creates the order in Salla and sends the customer a payment link, so they never have to leave WhatsApp. It also checks order status from Salla or Shopify, and when it can't handle something it passes the chat to a real person. We recently added Instagram DMs and Messenger too.
It's 49 SAR a month, and you get 1,000 free credits when you sign up.
A couple of things I'm genuinely unsure about and would love opinions on:
Would you let an AI create orders on its own, or would you only trust it to answer questions?
If you're replying to customers manually right now, what would actually make you switch?
Roast it if you want, that's more useful to me than likes. I'll be in the comments.
