Compact Contacts 1.2 is live — Notes, smarter Saved Views, and safer import/export

by

Compact Contacts 1.2 is now available on both Mac and iPad.

This update was shaped directly by feedback from people working with larger address books.

What’s new in 1.2:

  • Read, search, and edit long multi-line contact Notes, with a Notes-focused detail layout when you need more room.

  • Use Recently Edited, Missing Phone, and Missing Company to find follow-up work quickly.

  • Export any Saved View directly as a vCard bundle. Contact Notes stay excluded by default and are included only when explicitly selected.

  • Reach contacts, Saved Views, groups, accounts, and safe actions from the Command Palette.

  • Preview the exact scope and contact count before CSV or vCard export.

  • Review every card before a vCard import writes anything.

  • Customize, duplicate, hide, and restore built-in Saved Views.

  • Add more contact fields and custom labels as table columns.

Contact and Notes processing remains local, with no developer-operated contact cloud or third-party analytics.
