How do you actually stay independent if some of the platforms you review also offer affiliate or partnership programs under the table — is there a public list of every relationship you have with the tools you rank?

@salimyalnlqvec Good question and a fair one to ask publicly.
The short version: SE Ranking, SEMrush, Mangools, Moz, Zerobounce, Nightwatch and Neuronwriter have active affiliate arrangements. Ahrefs has no affiliate program, every Ahrefs link on the site is a standard editorial link with no tracking or commission. Ubersuggest and Surfer SEO have no relationship at all.
The honest answer to your question: you don't stay fully independent, no affiliate site does. We don't have any partnership programs and won't have any in the future.
What you can do is disclose every arrangement publicly, never adjust a score because of one, and give tools with no affiliate program the same editorial depth as tools that pay. Ahrefs scores 8.9/10 on ClaroRank and is recommended for link building despite earning zero commission. That's the standard the site holds itself to.

How often do you actually update the rankings and pricing data on the reviews, since these tools seem to tweak their plans fairly often?

@sevda0irx Great question, pricing is the thing most review sites get wrong because they update it once and forget it.
The calculator at clarorank.com/seo-tool-pricing-comparison/ is verified monthly against the official pricing pages of all four tools. Individual reviews are updated when a structural change is detected; new plans, retired tiers, or a price increase, rather than on a fixed monthly cycle. The timestamp on each page shows when it was last verified.
When a major change happens, like the Ahrefs Starter launch in January 2026 or SE Ranking's Core/Growth restructuring, that triggers an update. Smaller tweaks can slip through between checks, which is why the calculator exists as the most reliably current source for pricing across the tools we cover.
If you spot something out of date, clarorank@gmail.com - it gets corrected the same day.

Love that the homepage skips the typical "trusted by 10,000 marketers" fluff and just gets straight to the comparison tables. The side-by-side pricing breakdown with real commission disclosures feels genuinely rare in this space.

@turgayk9q2 Thank you for your kind words, much appreciated.
This is actually what I hope to achieve and of course grow organically.
