Hey everyone! 👋 I built CommonThread because I often found myself wanting to share thoughts or start discussions directly on a webpage (not off in a group chat, not buried in a forum, but right there where the content lives) Most tools either require the site owner’s integration or limit conversations to walled gardens. I wanted something open and immediate. What makes CommonThread unique is its simplicity: it works on any website, instantly, via a Chrome / Firefox extension. You don’t need the site’s permission, just open the panel and see what others are saying, or start the conversation yourself. I’m most proud of how lightweight and frictionless it is. You don’t need to sign up to read, and adding a comment is as easy as tweeting. No tracking, no drama, just context-aware discussion. I'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback!

I've been trying out Chime Chat, and I found it to be a very interesting concept.
