Video export is live: turn your carousels into vertical videos for Reels, TikTok and Shorts
Hey everyone,
Quick update from the build journey: we just shipped video export.
The idea came directly from our users. A lot of them were creating
great carousels for LinkedIn, then manually recreating the same
content as videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok or YouTube Shorts.
Same message, double the work.
So we built a way to skip that step. You pick any carousel you
already made, choose a format (9:16 vertical, 4:5 portrait, or 1:1
square), and the AI animates every slide into a silent video ready
to upload anywhere.
A few things worth knowing:
- It costs 15 credits per render
- Available on the Pro plan
- Works with every existing carousel, no need to recreate anything
We also shipped a wave of bug fixes alongside this release.
If you give it a try, I would really love your honest feedback. A
few things I am especially curious about:
- Does the animation feel natural or too robotic?
- Which format do you end up using the most?
- Anything that feels missing or broken?
Thanks for being part of this journey.
Martin

Does the animation actually feels smooth when you have dense text, or does it start looking repetitive?
Carousels Generator
@nora_mitchell Honest answer: it depends.
For shorter slides with one main idea, the animations breathe well.
For dense text slides, the timing automatically slows down so the
viewer can actually read, but yes, on very long carousels (10+
slides) you start noticing a rhythm.
We have different motion patterns per slide type (headline, list,
image-heavy) to keep things varied, but it's not 100% unique on
every slide. Adding more variety is on the roadmap.
If you give it a try and hit a specific case where it feels off,
send me the carousel link. That's exactly the kind of feedback I
need right now.

Adding to Martin's message, here are a few screenshots of the new feature.
And here is a video demo: https://carousels-generator.com/api/r2/CAROUSEL_ASSETS/video-exports/ce2407af-f52d-40fb-8342-54c4090b70ab/cmp2uaw5c000dpsp71n4wwxg3.mp4
Really excited to hear what you think!
And feel free to share any other features or improvements you'd like to see on carousels-generator.com.
Thanks!

What's happening under the hood here. Template based motion or fully generated frame-by-frame animation?
Carousels Generator
@ryan_cooper9 Great question.
It's template-based motion, not frame-by-frame generation. The AI
doesn't render pixels, it picks motion patterns based on the slide
content (headline vs list vs image-heavy) and times them to the
text density.
We made that choice for three reasons:
- Speed (renders in seconds instead of minutes)
- Cost (so we could keep it at 15 credits per render instead of
pricing it out of reach)
- Predictability (no hallucinations, you get the same quality every
time)
Frame-by-frame generation is on the wishlist for a future "premium
render" mode, but I want to nail the basics first.
