What’s the hardest part of professional networking for you?

We built Cardixx around a problem we kept seeing: people go to events, coworking spaces and conferences surrounded by potential connections, but often leave without meeting the right people.
We are re curious about what makes networking difficult for you?
Is it finding the right person? Starting the conversation? Knowing who is open to connect? Or following up afterwards?

For me the hardest part is definitely meeting the right person and wasting time.
You start chatting with someone at an event but since it's totally random, you end up realizing midway through or even at the very end that you actually have nothing in common. Spending an hour like that only to think I wish I'd spent this time talking to someone else is both exhausting and a huge waste of time.
Reading the room is the hardest part for me.
Everyone looks either busy or mid conversation, so approaching someone always feels like an interruption. You scan the room, you hesitate, and you end up talking to whoever happens to be standing near the coffee. Not because they were the right person, just because they were the reachable one.
The people worth meeting are usually in the room. There is no way to tell which ones they are before you have already spent twenty minutes finding out.
