Turning the most useless key on your Mac into a keep-awake switch — launching tomorrow

Hey everyone👋 quick heads up before tomorrow's launch (July 25, 4:01pm JST / 12:01am PT).

I built Capsomnia because I kept closing my MacBook mid-SSH-session, mid-build, or mid-AI-agent-run and losing all the progress. Turns out Caps Lock is basically dead weight on a Mac keyboard, so I repurposed it: toggle it on, and your Mac keeps running even with the lid closed.

Already remapped Caps Lock to Escape/Control. No problem, you can pick any shortcut you like instead.

It's free, open source, no accounts, no telemetry — just a tiny signed helper toggling pmset under the hood.

Would love any early thoughts before tomorrow, and happy to answer questions about how it works (or why Caps Lock specifically 😄).
