What does excessive scrolling make you feel like?

I started working on BrainFeed only because doomscrolling made me feel bad. What are your thoughts on mindless scrolling?

How user feedback has helped BrainFeed

BrainFeed started as part of my Honors thesis at college as 'ExpoDive ', where you could simply scroll through random ideas - nothing else.

Ever since, Aasrith and I have been continuously iterating based on implicit and explicit user feedback. Here is how the product evolved into what it is today:

  • From Random to Intentional: Users wanted to scroll through content they actually cared about, so we introduced Learning Goals, which has now become a core product feature.

  • Deep Exploration: Those goals can now branch out into a Goal Tree, allowing you to naturally map out and explore complex topics.

  • Rich Visuals: We moved away from a text-only approach and added Images to make the feed highly engaging.

  • Bring Your Own Content: You can now share external media like YouTube videos, articles, and PDFs directly into BrainFeed to consume them during your spare time.

  • Frictionless Onboarding: We completely changed the first-time experience so new users never miss out on powerful core features.

BrainFeed - A personalized learning feed that redirects your scroll

BrainFeed is a personalized learning feed designed to redirect your scrolling habit and build compounding knowledge. Set a custom goal like "how to get my first 100 users," or drop in a link to that long article or YouTube video you’ve been avoiding. BrainFeed transforms them into a bite-sized, scrollable feed of cards that you can easily get through while waiting in a line. Unlike traditional feeds, BrainFeed uses spaced repetition to ensure you actually retain what you read.
