What should Markdown editors borrow from coding tools?
by•
After two years immersed in Cursor, Codex and Claude Code, I kept wishing some of their interactions existed in a writing app. I was still using Apple Notes.
That became Beauty: slash commands for blocks, quick emoji insertion, small typing shortcuts, and a page you can adjust. The editor is free; on Mac, notes are ordinary Markdown files.
Beauty launches here tomorrow. I’m curious about the small interactions that make writing feel better.
What would you bring over from a coding editor? And what would you leave out?
