I remember that one time I would have needed this app but didn't even know it was an option... I miss-placed my true wireless headphones. Could not find them. In my own Apartment. I was sure of that at least because they sometimes connected to my phone.
I tried play some loud music so I can hear where they are, but they don't play when they are not in a ear. Also something I learned at that time...
