I run a benchmark that puts WordPress backup plugins head to head on identical sites, and I am about to add more site profiles.
Right now there are eight, from a starter blog up to a WooCommerce store with a large product catalogue. They are fixed snapshots, so every plugin gets byte-identical input.
Every "best WordPress backup plugin" list is an affiliate page. Backup Arena runs the plugins instead of ranking them.
Identical containers, the same fixed snapshot, eight site profiles, a warm-up then three measured runs. Backup time, restore time, archive size, and what each plugin actually archived.
That last one matters most. All-in-One WP Migration excludes WordPress core by design, so its archive alone will not rebuild a site on an empty server.
