Has AI actually helped you find customers?

by

Building AiSDR has made me rethink how much of sales can be solved by automating the tasks.

We started with prospect research, writing outreach, and handling replies. But I kept joining customer calls to help answer more basic questions: Who should we target? What should we offer? Why would someone care right now? What should we change when nobody responds?

AI SDRs overpromised and underdelivered. We were part of that. Making outreach easier didn’t automatically give customers a good plan for building pipeline.

The part I’m most interested in now is whether AI can help make those decisions. Look at what worked in previous campaigns, understand the business, suggest a specific experiment, and use the results to decide what to try next.

If you’ve used AI to find customers, where has it actually helped?

Did it uncover an audience or angle you wouldn’t have considered? Help turn replies into customers? Or mostly save time on work you already knew how to do?

I’d love to hear a concrete example, including the attempts that failed.

P.S. We just launched , our AI GTM agent built around this problem. It uses campaign playbooks, business context, and live research to help decide where to start, then build and run the campaign. Curious what it would suggest for your business, and where you’d disagree with it.

This hits home. As a founder building in B2B, I’ve learned that getting more outreach out the door is very different from learning what a buyer actually cares about. The useful loop for us has been: form a hypothesis, test the message and flow quickly, then take the questions from real calls back into the product. We use synthetic users for early directional checks and real conversations for the messy bits AI can’t fake. That balance has saved us alot of wasted cycles at Uxia. Keep going, the honest post about the failed attempts is the part most founders need to hear.

, exactly right. We're trying to help you reduce time to success with Ami!
