AI Employee - Self-hosted AI dev team that codes, tests & waits for your

by
AI Employee is a self-hosted AI engineering team for your own Git repos. It plans before coding, runs free checks (tests, lint, secret scan) before any model call, then a separate AI reviewer and UI/security critics check the change — all before you decide anything. Nothing gets pushed to GitHub without your approval. Works with any model provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, DeepSeek, Ollama). Everything lives in one SQLite file — no cloud account needed.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I built AI Employee because I got tired of babysitting AI coding agents — reviewing every small change, catching bad dependencies, and worrying about what they might push without asking. So this wraps the whole workflow: Planner → Coder (in its own sandboxed Git worktree) → free automated checks → AI Reviewer → UI/Security critics → and only then, your approval before anything reaches GitHub. It's fully self-hosted: one SQLite file holds everything, works with any model provider (including local Ollama), and agents run in a sandbox so they can't touch your Git credentials or leave their worktree. Still a developer preview, MIT licensed, and PRs are welcome. Would love your feedback — especially on the review pipeline!
