OpenAI has reportedly sent a letter to a European computer science student threatening a lawsuit if the student doesn’t remove their project, GPT4Free, from GitHub. The student is keeping the repo up with a disclaimer, and has allegedly told OpenAI that it should try sending a formal request to GitHub instead.

Geoffrey Hinton, the "Godfather of AI" has quit Google, citing concerns about the potential for mass misinformation.
