Today: a camera that reads your script off the lens while an agent does the edit, a recorder that makes a rough song idea sound finished, and a launch video built as code in a folder on your Mac.
One day left. Submissions for the Cloud Run Hackathon close tonight at midnight PT, and the board goes live tomorrow, Wednesday October 14.
One rule: it has to be deployed and running on Google Cloud Run. Deploy it, schedule your launch for tomorrow, and you're in.
Every eligible launch gets $50 in Google Cloud credits just for turning up. Winners take $500 in credits, a spotlight on Google Cloud's own channels, and a 1:1 with the Cloud Run team, who have been on the board all week reading launches and leaving questions, so they are the ones who will be looking at yours.
If it's deployed, get it scheduled before midnight.

Takes records a talking-head video on the Mac with one button, camera and screen together, and a teleprompter beside the lens follows your voice as you speak. Every take lands in a plain folder next to its script. There is no timeline. Claude Code, on the plan you already pay for, cuts the silences, the ums and the restarts, makes the vertical version, adds captions in your style and drafts the posts, and you leave notes on the frame like "too fast here" and get a new cut back. Notes that matter beyond one video turn into rules it reads before the next edit, 320 notes so far and 88 rules. Marvin started it last month and has made every video since in it. |

Music Dawn is a recorder for song ideas, and every take plays back through EQ, compression, a warm plate reverb and a master, for free, because a rough recording is usually what sends a good idea to the trash. There is a tuner, a headphone click that stays out of the take, and a waveform that draws a different landscape for every song. It syncs across iPhone, iPad and Watch through your own iCloud with no account, and it imports your old Voice Memos. Ted has been building iPhone apps since 2009, mostly for other companies, and put every song idea he had into Apple's Music Memos until Apple retired it in 2021 and pointed everyone at Voice Memos. |

Remocn Studio is a Mac app where your own coding agent builds a launch video as a real Remotion project in a folder on your disk. It works through analysis, brand, script, motion, build, choreography and review, and writes a readable doc at each stage so you can overrule anything it decided. Click an element in the live preview and drag its type, spacing and easing, and the value goes back into the TSX. No timeline, no keyframes and no extra token bill, since it signs in with the Claude or Codex subscription you already have. Dima built it because every launch he shipped ended the same way, product finished and video not. It exports up to 4K and is MIT licensed. |
