Good for the wallet and the environment
It’s the Friday after Thanksgiving, and you know what that means. If you’re reading this whilst in a Black Friday queue, pick me up something nice, please!
If you’re not in a queue and instead browsing some deals at home, you might want to check out some second-hand offerings. They are usually cheaper and, of course, better for the environment.
Faircado launched today. It’s a browser extension that surfaces second-hand options for what you’re browsing. It does this by using AI to quickly suggest tailored and precise alternatives from across the internet so you can a buying decision that’s good for both you and the planet.
Oliver Hale, one of the makers behind Faircado, stresses the importance of our buying choices when it comes to the climate, saying, “Every choice we make today leaves a footprint on our planet. With Faircado, we aim to ensure those footprints are positive and sustainable.”
Faircado is live today, and the team is looking for any usability feedback and what might need tweaking.
We asked 34 customers what Viktor does for them. Not one said chatbot.

They kept using words like colleague, coworker, team member. One CEO called it the glue holding their e-commerce business together, which is a lot, but also… you see why. It lives in Slack and plugs into 3,000+ tools, so instead of jumping between tabs, you just ask for the thing. Pull Stripe against HubSpot, check Sentry alerts, spin up a campaign brief, build a landing page, send a report upstairs. It all happens there.
It has already hit top 5 on Product Hunt with 130 comments, is SOC 2 certified, and your data does not train models. One user said it was the first time AI felt like a real coworker, which is either exciting or slightly concerning depending on your week.
